Each version needs an immutable timestamp, consistent ordering, and a clear link between outdated and current versions. Manual processes break down as modifications pile up.
Archiving gaps
Older versions must remain publicly accessible for a minimum of 10 years with prominent outdated warnings. Lose a file, let a server lapse, and you are non-compliant.
Delisting risk
Exchanges and trading platforms are required to verify ongoing compliance. If your hosting or versioning does not meet Article 12 standards, you risk being delisted.
